Githanjali Public School, Coimbatore organised the 44th sahodhaya interschool Throw ball Tournament for girls under three categories of under 19, under 16 and under 14 on 11th and 12th August 2023 . 84 teams , 1,176 students from 53 CBSE schools participated in the tournament. The Tournament was inaugurated by Dr. S.A Nirmala Correspondent, Principal Coimbatore Public School, Associate Secretary Sahodaya schools complex on Friday 11TH August 2023 by releasing the balloons in the air to declare the tournament open. Followed by the inauguration pledge was taken to save and educate girl child .The chief guest in her address emphasized the importance of sports for a healthy balanced life. The valedictory Ceremony was held on Saturday 12th August 2023 ,Swamini Nirupamamrita Prana Correspondent, Principal Amrita Vidyalayam Nallampalayam ,presided over the function . The chief guest in her address encouraged the students to be thankful for the blessing the god has showered on everyone and the other dignitaries on the dias were Githanjali institutions Chairman Shri.Alagiriswamy , Githanjali Public School Principal Smt S. G . Kavitha graced the occasion and the winners were honoured by Trophy, medals and certificates Under 14 category National Model Senior secondary School won the tournament. GRD Public School were the runners , Honey Bunch School won the third place and Brindhavan Vidhyalaya Public school won the fourth place . The best player award was won by Nivethita . T of National Model Senior secondary School. Under 16 category Vishwa Sishya Vidyodaya school won the tournament. Brindhavan Vidhyalaya Public School were the runners .CS Academy, Erode won the 3rd place and Suguna International school won the fourth place. The best player award was won by Sanjhana . K of Vishwa Sishya Vidyodaya School. Under 19 category Vishwa Shisya Vidyodaya School won the tournament. Alchemy Public School were the runners , Nava Bharath National School bagged 3rd place and Vidhya Niketan Public school bagged 4th place .The best player award was won by Pragalya S of Vishwa Shishya Vidoyodaya School.
