The students of grade- 11 and 12 had a very big opportunity to participate in the Biofocus - A spotlight on Science, A Science training program for the school students on August 18th , 2023 conducted by Dr.G. R. Damodaran College of Science. The event had a seminar session, exhibition and hands on practice for biological experiments. Students had three technical sessions regarding Blood grouping, Chromatographic techniques and Microscopic techniques followed by visit to science fair. The science models put up by the college students covered the areas like food preservation, textile biotechnology, Pharmaceutical therapies etc., Students visited Biochemistry lab, Instrumentation lab, Microbiology lab, Plant tissue culture lab where they have propagated Vanilla, Tobacco and various types of algae like Spirulina.
