Onam, the harvest festival of Kerala, was celebrated at school on Monday, 28th August 2023 by the staff and students of Githanjali Public School. The staff and children brightened the campus with their colourful ethnic wear in the traditional attire of Kerala. The main attractions of the programme were , skits, speech, group dance, and solo dance by the students of the school and the Thiruvathira Kali by the teachers. School also conducted the Pookalam competition on the occasion of Onam. The Grade 10 to 12 students from the four team houses of the school: Aurbindo, Bharathi, Tagore and Vivekanda house participated in the competition. Students brought petals of different colour flowers and herbal leaves from home and were engaged in making a colourful flower Rangoli – ‘Pookalam’ which turned out to be attractive and mesmerizing and took everyone into a world of festivity and fun.
